Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of developing a generation with noble character from an early age through the instilling of religious activities within the school environment. One effort undertaken by SDIT Al-Khair is implementing the habit of congregational Zuhr prayer as a means of developing Islamic character in students. This activity aims to instill discipline, responsibility, good manners, and the habit of worship in daily life. This study aims to determine the implementation of the habit of congregational prayer and its impact on the development of students' morals at SDIT Al-Khair. This study used field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, and students at SDIT Al-Khair. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was achieved using source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that the habit of congregational prayer at SDIT Al-Khair is implemented routinely and in a focused manner, with teacher guidance. These activities have a positive influence on the development of students' morals, such as increased discipline, responsibility, manners, and religious attitudes in daily life. Furthermore, the role of teachers as role models and mentors is a crucial factor in the successful development of students' character. Cultivating the habit of congregational prayer can be an effective method for developing a generation of noble character among children at SDIT Al-Khair.
