Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of learning discipline in improving the academic achievement of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) students. Learning discipline is a student's attitude of obedience and compliance with rules and learning activities, such as arriving on time, paying attention to lessons, and completing school assignments. However, in reality, there are still students who lack discipline, which affects their learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between discipline and the academic achievement of MTs students. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with teachers and students to obtain information about students' learning discipline behavior. Observations were conducted to directly observe student activities during the learning process, while documentation was used to obtain data on academic grades and attendance. The data obtained were then analyzed to determine the relationship between learning discipline and student academic achievement. The results of the study indicate a positive relationship between learning discipline and MTs student academic achievement. Students with high levels of learning discipline tend to achieve better academic achievement than those with less discipline. Furthermore, the role of teachers and the school environment also influences students' learning discipline. Therefore, learning discipline is a crucial factor in improving the academic achievement of MTs students.
