Implementasi Pendidikan Akhlak Anak pada Keluarga di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of children’s moral education within the family environment as the foundation for shaping children’s character and behavior in daily life. The family has a major role in instilling moral values, religion, politeness, discipline, and responsibility in children from an early age. However, the development of technology, social media, and social environmental changes have become challenges in the implementation of moral education in families in Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah. Therefore, this study aims to determine the implementation of children’s moral education in the family, the methods used by parents, and the supporting and inhibiting factors. This study used field research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The informants consisted of parents, children, and community leaders in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The collected data were analyzed through editing, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that the implementation of children’s moral education in the family was carried out through exemplary behavior, habituation, advice, and parental supervision. Moral education was implemented through habits such as speaking politely, respecting parents, being disciplined and honest, helping with household chores, and performing worship together with the family. Supporting factors included a religious family environment and good family cooperation, while inhibiting factors included the influence of technology, social media, parents’ busyness, and children’s social environment.
