Strategi Peningkatan Kualitas Pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi STAI Al-Washliyah Barabai

Abstract

Improving the quality of learning in higher education is an essential aspect in responding to the demands of the development of science and technology. STAI Al-Washliyah Barabai, as one of the higher education institutions, is required to continuously enhance the quality of its learning process in order to produce competent graduates. The problems faced include the lack of optimal variation in teaching methods, limited use of technology, and inadequate facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, appropriate strategies are needed to improve the quality of learning within the institution. This study employed a qualitative research design with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants consisted of institutional leaders, lecturers, and students selected purposively. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and their validity was tested using source, technique, and time triangulation. The results of the study indicate that strategies to improve the quality of learning at STAI Al-Washliyah Barabai are implemented through strengthening academic policies, enhancing lecturers’ competencies through training, and applying varied and technology-based learning methods. The learning process has become more interactive and participatory, although there are still obstacles related to facilities and the use of technology. Thus, it can be concluded that the implemented strategies have been quite effective; however, continuous development is needed, particularly in improving infrastructure and optimizing the use of technology to achieve better learning quality.
