Peer Review Process
Jurnal Pendidikan dan Keagamaan implements a rigorous peer‐review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of each published manuscript. The journal uses a double-blind review system, meaning that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
1. Initial Screening
-
Upon submission, the editorial team conducts an initial evaluation to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal’s focus and scope.
-
The editor checks for completeness, formatting compliance, and similarity index using plagiarism detection software.
-
Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be returned to authors for revision or rejected at this stage.
2. Assignment to Reviewers
-
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript's topic.
-
Reviewers are selected based on academic qualifications, research experience, and publication history.
3. Double-Blind Review
-
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript without knowing the identity of the authors, and authors do not know the reviewers’ identities.
-
Reviewers assess:
-
Originality and contribution to the field
-
Theoretical and methodological rigor
-
Clarity and coherence of writing
-
Soundness of analysis and interpretation
-
Relevance to the journal’s scope
-
-
Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommend one of the following decisions:

-

-
Major Revision
-
Reject
-
4. Review Result and Communication
-
The editor compiles the reviewers’ comments and communicates the decision to the authors.
-
If revisions are required, authors must respond to all comments point-by-point and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified time.
5. Revised Manuscript Evaluation
-
For minor revisions, the editor may directly evaluate the revision to determine suitability for publication.
-
For major revisions, the revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.
6. Final Decision
-
The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript is made by the editorial board based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial assessment.
-
Accepted manuscripts proceed to the editing, proofreading, and layout stages.
7. Publication
-
After passing the final editorial checks, the manuscript is scheduled for publication in the nearest issue of the journal.

Authors receive a notification and may be asked to review the final proofs before publication.
